On the set of the cult film…

The Vampires of Bloody Island

Recently I was privileged to be asked to take part in the filming of the new cult vampire movie The Vampires of Bloody Island, where I managed to sneak a camera on set to snap some backstage pics.

The film features Scream Queen Pamela Kempthorne, it’s directed by Allin Kempthorne, and produced by Wibbell Productions. It has been described as a cross between Carry On Screaming and The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

A special pre-release screening was held at the Curzon, Shaftesbury Avenue, in 2007.

Here’s the Scream Queen herself in full Morticia mode.

Allin and Pamela and the disembodied head of a stagehand (Spooky) discuss some finer points of the scene about to be shot.

Backstage, Pamela lends a hand to touch up one of the Demon Waiters (ooh-err!).

And here they are – the Demon Waiters themselves, relaxing between takes.

They were serving a gourmet meal the French would be proud of.

Every possible care and attention to detail was taken on the film.

This is going to be a fantastic British comedy-horror movie.
Already great things are being said about it:

The atmosphere simply pours out… a charming, charismatic and beautifully funny film. An excellent cast… a real cult classic.

A testament to the imagination. A quality British fantasy comedy.
